Mark Vroegop is the president of The Gospel Coalition. He served in pastoral ministry leadership for nearly 30 years, most recently as the lead pastor of College Park Church in Indianapolis. He earned his MDiv from Cornerstone Seminary. An award-winning author, Mark has written several books, including ‘Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy: Discovering the Grace of Lament’ and ‘Waiting Isn’t a Waste: The Surprising Comfort of Trusting God in the Uncertainties of Life.’ Mark is married to Sarah, and they have three married sons, a college-aged daughter, and five grandchildren.
Trevin Wax is vice president of resources and marketing at the North American Mission Board and a visiting professor at Cedarville University. A former missionary to Romania, Trevin is a regular columnist at The Gospel Coalition and has contributed to ‘Mere Orthodoxy,’ ‘World,’ and ‘Christianity Today.’ He is the coauthor of ‘The Gospel Way Catechism’ and author of ‘The Thrill of Orthodoxy’ and ‘Rethink Your Self.’
Thomas West is the senior pastor of Nashville First Baptist Church and an adjunct professor of theology at Belmont University and Southeastern Seminary. He earned his PhD from Southeastern Seminary. A former church planter in London, he writes and teaches at the intersection of theology, culture, and mission. He is the coauthor of ‘The Gospel Way Catechism’ with Trevin Wax. Thomas and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Nashville with their two children.
Jen Wilkin is an author and Bible teacher from Dallas. She has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts.
Jamaal Williams is the lead pastor of Sojourn Church Midtown in Louisville, Kentucky, and president of Harbor Network, a church-planting network committed to launching and strengthening thriving churches. He is coauthor of ‘In Church as It Is in Heaven’ and a contributing author to ‘Ministers of Reconciliation: Preaching on Race and the Gospel.’ Jamaal and his wife, Amber, have five children.
Dave and Ann Wilson are the hosts of ‘FamilyLife Today,’ FamilyLife’s nationally syndicated radio program. They are the cofounders of Kensington Church and have been featured speakers at FamilyLife’s ‘Weekend to Remember’ marriage getaways since 1989. Dave also served as chaplain for the Detroit Lions for 33 years. The Wilsons now serve as the marriage and family ministry directors at Heritage Church and live in the Detroit area near their growing family of three sons, three daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren.
Kyle Worley is the pastor at Mosaic Church, which he planted in Richardson, Texas. He has a ThM in Christian philosophy from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, an MA in theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and an MA in religion from Redeemer Theological Seminary.
Hershael York is the former dean of The School of Theology and the Victor and Louise Lester professor of Christian preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hershael previously pastored Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and the First Baptist Church of Marion, Arkansas. He is married to Tanya, and they have two children. He is the pastor emeritus of Buck Run Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Afshin Ziafat is the lead pastor of Providence Church in Frisco, Texas, and serves The Gospel Coalition as a Board member. He previously spent over a decade traveling and preaching the gospel message in churches, retreats, camps, and conferences. He also traveled to the Middle East to train Iranian pastors. Afshin and his wife, Meredith, live in Frisco with their three children.
Sarah Eekhoff Zylstra is senior writer and faith-and-work editor for The Gospel Coalition. She earned her BA from Dordt University and her MSJ from Northwestern University. She is the coauthor of ‘Gospelbound: Living with Resolute Hope in an Anxious Age’ and editor of ‘Social Sanity in an Insta World.’ Before that, she wrote for ‘Christianity Today,’ homeschooled her children, freelanced for a local daily paper, and taught at Trinity Christian College. She lives with her husband and two sons in Kansas City, Missouri, where they belong to New City Church.
Kelvin J. Washington serves as the lead pastor of New Valley Church in Waynesboro, Virginia. He is a visiting professor at Memphis City Seminary and an adjunct professor at Liberty University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he teaches courses on theology, culture, social justice, and race relations. Kelvin hosts the podcast Gospel Culture.
